Apparently, this past Monday was considered “Blue Monday,” the most depressing day of the year! I had no idea there was such thing until I read about this today. With the lack of sunlight, our wallets feeling empty from Christmas, time has gone by and many people have failed their New Years resolutions. All these things combined are apparently making people feel a bit glum this week.
Since I am a believer of positive attitudes and seeing the good in all things. I thought it would be a great idea to put together a little list of happy things just incase you’re in the dumps this week.
Bubble Baths: Who doesn’t love a bubble bath? Throw on a face mask, grab a book, maybe even light a candle. Fill up the tub and relax.
Watch a Movie: There’s nothing better on a cold day than lying cozy in bed watching a good film.
Music: Headphones were a great invention. You can pop them in, blast out some kick ass music and instantly feel lifted.
Remind yourself of little quotes on less perfect days: Browse through the “Quotes” topic on pinterest, reading these always makes me feel better.
Plan: Set goals for something that you’d like to achieve this year, that way you will have someone thing to look forward to and reach for.
Do good things: Its always nice to give. Text your friends just to wish them a great day. Compliment a stranger. By giving our positivity, more will come back your way.
